Fuel Terminal Milstrand AS - a company established in 1995, the main task of which is fast and safe handling of light oil products. The location of the terminal has largely reduced the ability of its development. The terminal is based on the Soviet Navy fuel base, which had a unique underground tanks located at a depth of about 40 meters with inner diameter of 5.5 m and a length of 770-800 m. Underground tanks were designed for storage of light oil products. Pumphouses equipped with a centrifugal artesian type oil pumps.
Today, the terminal tank farm consists of three underground tanks and eight ground tanks. The total volume of tank farm is about 125 000 m3.
Geography of port provides year-round navigation, and a private berth in the port of Miiduranna excludes the intersection with other operators. The terminal locates at the border of Tallinn in the densely populated residential area with high environmental requirements. This determines the development direction of the terminal. The inability to expand geographically and by volume, led to the need to improve efficiency throughtechnology, technical progress and innovation in enterprise management.
